This summer JLIC is offering 4 highly subsidized volunteer missions to Israel!

JLIC/Birthright Onward Israel Trips

Cost: $50

Eligibility:College students and recent grads! Even if you’ve already done a Gap Year, another OU-JLIC summer program, Onward, or Birthright — you’re eligible!

Volunteering Options: 

Volunteer options will span from people facing work to agricultural farming. More specific options will be discussed in your interview with the volunteer program director.

What’s included?

  • Flight reimbursement of $500-$900 (see more details below)
  • 15% coupon on a direct flight to Israel with ElAl
  • 350 NIS ($100) a week partial food subsidy
  • Accommodation in YTVA, Baka Jerusalem
  • One program wide shabbat in Baka
  • Transportation from and to the airport in Israel
  • Volunteer placement
  • Work hours: 4-6 hours per day
  • Paid transportation to volunteer sites
  • Health insurance
  • Educational/ Social programming
  • Living in Israeli Society
  • Support Staff

Flight Stipends:

  • Reimbursements on flights will be provided by the program organizer to participants who have successfully completed their volunteer program.
  • Arrange your own flight and get reimbursed as follows:
    • North America & FSU: $700 USD
    • Europe : $500 USD
    • Latin America: $900 USD
    • Other Countries: $700 USD
  •  The level of the reimbursement cannot surpass the cost of the ticket.
  • You will need to present plane tickets and proof of purchase to the program organizer in order to receive your refund.
  • Refunds will be carried out not approximately 6 weeks following program completion.
  • An EL AL exclusive offer for 15% off on direct flights to Israel (code is available after you complete your application)
  • Reimbursements are available for flights starting February 26
  • Reimbursements for non-direct flights will only be processed for stop-overs that are less than 24 hours

Yavneh/JNF-USA Trip

Trip Overview: Each day of the trip is comprised of volunteering, touring, education, and independent time in the evenings and on Shabbat. Included with the trip: round-trip flight to Israel, accommodations, most meals, and medical insurance.

Travel Options: Flights are included and participants will have the opportunity to choose from a group flight or individual option.

Fundraising: Each participant is responsible for raising a minimum of $1500 from at least 5 unique donors for JNF-USA’s Israel Resilience Campaign that is dedicated to rehabilitating the South of Israel. Your fundraising page is created upon registration. All participants joining the Yavneh bus will have a $500 contribution to their fundraising goal from Yavneh!
