FAQ's

 

A. Can I join a college program if I go to YU/Stern or a non-JLIC campus?

Yes! This program is open to all observant college students.

B. I don’t have a formal torah education, can I join the group?

Yes! Our programs are open to all students. As us about our different programs and we can help you find the program that fit’s you best.

C. Do you provide internships?

Yes! We have in-house placement coordinators who will work with you one-on-one to help you get an internship that best fits your field of interest.

D. Is food provided?

We provide dinner most nights. For all other meals, all apartments have full kitchens.

E. Do you provide a flight?

No. Our program cost does not include the cost of the student’s flight.

F. How do I get to work?

The program is located near public transportation. The madrichim and madrichot will ensure that students know where they need to take a bus from in order to get to their internship. Taxis are also readily available.

G. Can I move in early or stay late?

Unfortunately you cannot move in early or stay late. The housing is used year-round and is used immediately before and after our program.

H. What Happens on Shabbat?

There will be group Shabbat meals and activities each week. There will be 2-3 group shabbatot where we are all together. The remaining shabbatot are optional – students can choose to visit family and friends or stay and celebrate Shabbat with the group.

I. Is there internet?

Yes.

J. Do I have to be a college student to join the college program?

All participants must be 18+ years old and registered in college. (This does not apply to our ASCEND Post high school program where students can be 17.)
