NOAH AND ALIZA KALANDAR

Program Directors & Maggid Shiur

My name is Noah Kalandar and I’m originally from Philadelphia. PA. After finishing my time at Kohelet Yeshiva HS I went on to learn for two years in Netiv Aryeh. I then continued my learning in YU for 3 years until graduating, learned in the Mir for two years, and am currently getting Semicha at Gruss and a night seder Rebbe at Aish Gesher. I've spent many of my favorite summers in camp, coordinating activities, giving chaburas, and running various teen programs too. I was a Madrich in Torat Shraga and enjoyed giving shiurim and chaburahs throughout my time in YU as well. My name is Aliza Kalandar. I’m originally from Woodmere, NY. After a year at MMY and undergrad at Stern, I went on to Hunter College to get my nursing degree and worked in Columbia Presbyterian as pediatric cardiac nurse. Since moving to Israel I’ve transitioned to remote nursing work and taken on more teaching roles at various seminaries. I have always tried to ensure teaching Torah is a part of my life in some capacity, and I am so thankful for the ability to combine a love of people and a love of Torah here in Yerushalayim. I’ve spent endless summers in camps of all shapes and sizes and loved getting to meet new people, learn new things together, and have an overall fun and refreshing experience together.
