An amazing opportunity for college students to live, learn and work in Jerusalem. Join Bnei Akiva/TVA and OU-JLIC as we create an exciting social and religious summer community on campuses in Katamon and Baka!
Who: College students, both men and women.
When: June 24 – August 10 (You must be available for entire duration of the program)
What: Participants will live on one of two campuses in Jerusalem. They will work in an internship of their choice during the day and study Torah in the evenings. Details below.
Cost: Early bird rate – $1,750 (ends December 15, 2025). Regular rate – $2,000 (closes January 15, 2026)

- Housing at either MTVA in Katamon or off-campus apartments in Baka (with Beit Midrash learning at YTVA)*

*Applicants who are accepted and register for SIJ @ TVA will have the opportunity to request 5 other participants they’d like to be with on their campus. They are guaranteed 2 of those requests.
Program Overview
JLIC Summer in Jerusalem (SIJ), Bnei Akiva of the US and Canada/TVA and Onward Israel offer professional internships during the day and a vibrant evening program offering a full array of teachers, social events and learning opportunities.
- Spend the summer on the campus in the Katamon or Baka neighborhood of Jerusalem.
- Vibrant Beit Midrash: there is a focus on both chevruta learning and shiurim on a variety of topics with amazing teachers from TVA, OU-JLIC and all across Israel and America. The learning program is accessible for people who are interested in a more text-based traditional learning style.
- Internship program designed to build your resume and develop work skills. Our professional internship team will find you a great summer internship!
- Incredible weekend excursions across Israel.
- Fun social programming to explore Jerusalem and build community.

Staff
We are honored to partner with MTVA and their educational staff, led by Rabbi Yehuda Seif.
Rosh Yeshiva & Executive Director, TVA
Rabbi Seif studied at Yeshivat Har Etzion and received his ordination from Rav Zalman Nechemiah Goldberg. He received his BA from Columbia College, his MA in Religion and Education from Columbia's Teacher's College, and Israeli Teacher Certification from Herzog College. He was a fellow at the Center for Jewish Law and Contemporary Civilization at the Cardozo School of Law, and he completed his PhD in Religious Studies at University of Pennsylvania. He served as a Senior Program Officer at the Tikvah Fund. He served as the Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus educator at the University of Pennsylvania from 2002-2006.
